The second annual Greek Unconference is coming up this Friday, April 23, to be held at Seminar Hakibbutzim. Last year, the conference brought together a variety of green and cleantech enthusiasts, ranging for hobbyists to professionals and entrepreneurs. Like last year, this conference is organized by participants, and gives an open forum for all the “green geeks” to present their ideas, inventions, problems and solutions. Last month, Sami Shiro presented at the MiaGreen 2010 conference on “The Opportunity of Greentech Investments”. His presentation gives a good overview of early stage opportunities in the cleantech sector, with a focus on Israel. Sami is a principal at Israel G-Tek, which invested in Israeli wind startup IQWind.
