The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) Cleantech Initiative announced it is seeking 15 Israeli clean technology “cleantech” companies to participate in a delegation to meet with the leading industry, investment firms and utility giants April 26-28, 2010 in California.

BIRD Energy Open for Grant Proposals

About BIRD
BIRD Foundation, the Binational Industrial Research and Development Foundation, is a US-Israel effort to fund bi-national R&D projects on an ongoing basis. The organization funds about 20 projects a year – 800 since inception.
Recently, BIRD announced the BIRD Energy initiative, which specifically focuses on funding US-Israel R&D projects in renewable energy. It is backed by the US Department of Energy (DOE), the Israeli Ministry of National Infrastructures and the BIRD Foundation. Projects are funded up to $1 million.

Interview with Israeli cleantech VC Astorre Modena of Terra Ventures

Astorre Modena is a co-founder and general partner at Terra Venture Partners, a venture capital fund targeting opportunities in Israeli cleantech companies at the seed and early stages.
